we should swing on my lounging porch
you can lay your bare feet across my lap
while I strum the guitar and mumble silly poetry
to the rhythm of nocturnal awakening
we can sip each other's spirit as the twilight sky draws her evening curtains
a sunset stroll through the trees and near the sibilant stream
our shadows flirting and playing tag along the path
from the new horizon moonbeams kiss your cheek
I press my lips to your forehead
drinking your vessel intoxicates me
we tumble into the grass...
drops of glistening dew veer a colored prism upon our figures
like stars illuminating our souls
we dance holding hands until we reach the door once more
in those recliner arms we rest
I lay my head in the valley of your breasts
you use your tongue to pry my heart
clever words disarming; pride and pretenses undressed
I am caught in the mystery of your skin
between layers we uncover love...and more love
etched in the remaining embers of our fire
are the words "found where we belong"
